We are half way through September! How did that happen?

Many of us are so busy this time of year, and its hard to believe that we are half way through this month! This is a wonderful time of year for the music ministry of St Paul as we leave our Summer Schedule and begin more rehearsals with more time spent on beautiful music.

This year, we continue to support other artists in our community - like the Aiken Civic Orchestra, under the baton of Adam DePriest. They practice at St Paul as scheduled, and our community has a richer and fuller music life because of musicians like this - who work on presenting their music in many venues, offering up excellent experiences.

Sunday, September 15th, we welcomed Leondra J., this year's St Paul Choral Scholar for the 11:00 Choir from USC Aiken. She is a Soprano and did a lovely job on the solo on Amazing Grace by D. C. Huff in worship that day. We are thankful to have Leondra with us this year!

Last year's Choral Scholar, Levi A. will be with us part time until the end of 2019. Levi graduated from USC Aiken last May and is establishing his voice studio and his vocal career in the Greater CSRA area. We are keeping him in prayer as he steps boldly into his future!

Our 8:30 Choir and 11:00 Choir are already working on special music for December. The 11:00 Choir welcomes new members Jim, Wayne and Beverly. We are so glad to have you with us!

This coming week on Sept. 22nd, Jessica B will bring her excellent trumpet skills to 8:30 worship and Pastor Adam will bring his awesome trumpet skills to 11:00 worship. 11:00 worship will end with a short piece titled "The Fifers" by Dandrieu. Its a lively piece to set your feet to dancing as you leave the church, entering the world to love and serve - so don't miss it! Remember, if you can't make it into worship - be sure to check out the live broadcast on our website.
