Advent is Here! This Sunday, Dec. 3rd begins the season of Advent - the 4 weeks before Christmas.

This first week of Advent the Choirs bring "Keep Your Lamps!" by composer Dr. Andre Thomas. A lively tune, it reminds us to keep awake and be prepared for the coming of Christ - in the long run, and in each day of our lives.

During Advent this year we will have 3 Wednesdays with Advent Suppers at 5:30 pm and Holden Evening Prayer at 6:30 pm with short Reflections by Pastor Jeff. Mallory Berley will bring her beautiful talents on flute to the service on Dec. 6th, and Alea Atkinson will bring her beautiful talents on Violin to the services on Dec. 13th and Dec. 20th. These short services help us take a pause during this hectic time of year - to connect with God, and with ourselves. A beautiful service, Holden Evening Prayer normally lasts about 30 minutes and we welcome everyone to attend this unique service.

On Sunday Dec. 10th, we welcome Donna Derrick to our 9:45 service for some special music and Mallory Berley to our 11:00 worship as the choirs will sing "Celtic Advent Carol" - another lively anthem to remind us of the meaning of the season of Advent!

On Sunday, Dec. 17th, we will have Combined Choirs, Soloist Leondra Jackson, the Joyful Noise Ringers, and the Rollins Ensemble for Lessons and Carols at 8:30 and 11:00 worship. 9:45 worship will have special music with Chris Morgan and Donna Derrick. Our youth will bring some Christmas Carols to the Coffee Hour, you don't want to miss that!

This year Advent 4 is actually also Christmas Eve - so we will have a 10 am Advent 4 service on Dec. 24th and our Christmas Eve Services will be 4 pm and 7:30 pm.

4 pm will have St Paul members in an Instrumental Ensemble bringing some of the music, with a String Duo and Soloist to round out the musical portions that support worship. Candlelighting and Holy Communion will bring the reverence we all seek as we greet the Christ Child.

7:30 pm will have the Joyful Noise Ringers, the Combined Choirs of St Paul, a String Quartet and 2 Guest Vocalists - Leondra Jackson and Carmen Czerwinski. Candlelighting and Holy Communion will bring the reverence we all seek as we greet the Christ Child.

December 31st is Christmas 1 Sunday and Alea Atkinson will be with us at 8:30 & 11:00 Worship with Violin Christmas Music. Chris Morgan will be leading Christmas music at 9:45 that day.

Come and worship, come and worship, come and see the new born king!
